Brooke Mueller has gone back to rehab, according to reports.

The socialite refused her drug test Friday, one that she was required to take as part of her custody settlement with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

This followed a week in which she allegedly went off the rails. There is no hard evidence of her binging on drugs, but that pawn shop sighting is sketchy to say the least, and Sheen's lawyers are going to court on Tuesday to raise the issue.

Sources say Brooke's return to rehab is a preemptive strike.

A source close to Mueller tells E! News somewhat vaguely that: "Brooke is doing fine, she is continuing with the rehab program she has always done."

That doesn't mean all is well with her and ex-hubby Sheen, either: "Brooke will not take a drug test until Charlie takes a drug test," the source said.

"Brooke will [comply with the deal] until he stops talking about her in public. He's been violating their agreement from day one and she's had enough."

As for how poor little Bob and Max are dealing with all this?

Decrying recent reports and rumors about Mueller, the source says that "Brooke has been home taking care of the kids and the boys are doing great."

"They are with their mom, aunt, uncle and most of the time they are also with their grandparents. They're living a very stable life and are very happy."

That's good at least. We advocate as much grandparent time as possible.

When Sheen was asked if he was aware of Mueller's pawn shop incident, he said in a recent interview to E! News, "Yeah I know," he declared.

"She knows the rules. And the consequences are radical. And I told her don't pick a f--king fight with a warlock because you're going to lose."

Sheen is ponying up over $55,000 a month to Mueller in child support, so as wild as HE is, you can see why he's probably fired up over this.

Why the sudden filing, considering Mueller was just on vacation with Sheen, Bree Olson and Natalie Kenley in the Bahamas? She claims the drug aficionado threatened her several times over the past couple days.

Sheen isn't too broken up about the news, telling the site: "Great.  I was already planning on staying 100 parsecs away from her."  (A parsec, of course, translates to 3.26 light years in Star Wars parlance.)

A day after sources claimed Brooke Mueller was seriously considering a move into Charlie Sheen's neighborhood, a new report has surfaced that does the former allegation one better:

Mueller has moved back IN with her ex-husband!

From dreams to nightmares to... who knows what is next for Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen.

“I’m sure Brooke will try to deny this,” an insider told Radar Online of the news. “She thinks because Charlie lives in a gated community that nobody has seen her. But she’s wrong. A lot of people know about this and they’ve just been keeping it quiet."

The move reportedly took place several days ago, with Brooke's family allegedly reacting with furor over the decision, according to a friend: "They think this is the worst thing for her.”

We have no idea why. Maybe because Sheen held a knife to Mueller's throat just over a year ago and has since spent every other week since in the presence of porn stars and suitcases of cocaine?

It's finally over for Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen.

The couple filed for divorce from one another this afternoon, as TMZ has obtained the divorce documents - which are the same documents signed by the pair in May. Among other issues settled in the papers:

• Mueller and Sheen receive joint legal custody of their twin sons. Brooke gets primary physical custody, while Charlie gets visitation rights.
• Brooke will receive $55,000/month in child support, and the document ensures that she'll never receive less money than Charlie doles out to Denise Richards to support her and their daughters.

• Mueller will receive a lump sum of $757,689.70.
• Sheen gets the family home, but must pay Brooke around $1 million for it.
• Sheen will keep his $5.45 million watch collection. Yes, Charlie Sheen has a $5.45 million watch collection.

This official split comes a week after Sheen was discovered passed out in a NYC hotel room, supposedly high on cocaine and definitely in the presence of Capri Anderson, a porn star/call girl.

Having received emergency surgery and plenty of antibiotics, the wife of actor Charlie Sheen was rushed to the facility the previous day after suffering from an oral infection.
