Wow. We imagine this couldn't have been easy for him to see.

Although Miley Cyrus has remained tight-lipped since the video (above) of the Hannah Montana star smoking a bong filled with what is allegedly salvia leaked onto the internet, her father, Billy Ray, took to Twitter this afternoon to address the controversy, and it sounds as though he's just as shocked as everyone else!

He wrote:

Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.

We know that there's a lot going in his personal life right now, but hopefully this will help both he and Tish realize that even though Miley's a celebrity, she's still a teenager, and her behavior - and the people she is surrounding herself with - clearly needs to be monitored a lot more closely!

We're thinking of you guys right now. Hang in there.
