Re:accessorizing, is it better to match the colour of your wallet/purse/clutch with your shoes or your outfit?
If you want to look fifteen years behind the style, extremely conservative to the point of timid, or like you are over 60 years old then match you shoes and purse. If you want to look modern, young, and altogether fashionable then use you bag and accessories as an accent and pick a color that contrast with the outfit rather than matches it. Going all "matchy matchy" isn't the best. The basic rule is that your bag should either be neutral, meaning your outfit has a bold focal point detail or color that is making a statement, or your bag and other accessories should be a bold focal point and make a statement because your outfit is made of neutrals. Some who are very trendy and fashion forward carry bold bright statement bags that intentionally clash with everything else they are wearing.
