“Sexy” Serena Williams Cheers Venus to US Open Win

Unable to defend her championship do to a nagging injury, Serena Williams turned up at Flushing Meadows to cheer on big sister Venus Williams during the US Open tennis tournament on Friday night (September 3).

Splitting time between the players’ box and announcers’ booth, the world’s top player happily watched on as her sis beat up on Mandy Minella of Luxembourg in the third round matchup – as Venus won 6-2 6-1.

And with the tennis being a bit uncompetitive, attention turned to Serena’s glammed up look including a hot red dress with fully done hair and makeup.

Commenting on her little sisters alluring appearance, Venus – who designs dresses as a side-gig – said, “Serena is looking rather sexy tonight. She looks lovely in red.”

Michael Douglas on Throat Cancer: “It Hurts A Lot”

Dealing with a hefty medical challenge, Michael Douglas pushed forth with promotional efforts for “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” with a “Late Show with David Letterman” appearance on Tuesday (August 31).

Greeting fans as he entered the Ed Sullivan theatre, the 65-year-old actor opened up about his throat cancer diagnosis while telling Letterman that “it hurts a lot.”

Offering up details on the situation, Douglas says that he was informed of the condition – which is labeled as Stage 4 cancer – following a doctor’s appointment for an extremely sore throat.

Having just finished up with the first week of radiation and chemotherapy, Michael admits “that it’s about an eight-week struggle.”

Utilizing drugs to ease the pain, the big screen legend later replied to a comment from Dave about how good he looks, saying, “Let’s just say I’m pretty lit up — I’m pretty lit up right now.”

On a positive note, Michael added that the cancer is yet to spread beneath the neck, which lands him at an eighty percent chance of recovery.

Speaking out for the first time on network television since her divorce, Sandra Bullock sat down with Matt Lauer on the “Today” show this morning for a candid conversation.

The “Proposal” actress raved about her seven-month-old adopted son Louis, noting, “He’s a little Cajun cookie,” and, “everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out.”

As for the adoption details, Sandra explained, “It was a long process. I did not circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. And– it was– he was always mine, you know. It wasn’t like I felt like someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, I think you’re a fit parent.”

“We had always said that it didn’t matter where the child came from. If they had issues that were medical issues, we didn’t care. It’s like the child that needed us in the home is the child that’s going to be placed. And I didn’t think it would be a boy. We don’t have any boys in our family. Boy, is everyone really happy about that. So, he’s like the crown prince. You know, it’s nothing but girls in our family … It was just the hierarchy that needed to be broken.”
